Deepwater Horizon oil spill clean-up

The Deepwater Horizon oil spill is known as the largest accidental oil spill in United States history, leaking oil and gas on the ocean floor about 42 miles off the coast of Louisiana. The spill was capped 87 days later on July 15, 2010 with an estimated total 4.9 million barrels of oil leaked.

Our company traveled from Theodore, Alabama to Panama City, Florida to assist COMAR Marine, a marine transportation company out of Alemlia, Louisiana, in the clean-up process. From June to late August 2010, Sea Level Marine was able to use the M/V Santa Rosa to provide supplies such as spill booms, cargo, and passengers to COMAR Marine in order to assist in the clean-up.
